D.C.U. Boxing Club

Dublin City University Boxing Club will be hosting two boxing tournaments in the Sports Hall, St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra on Tues. 22 Nov and Thur. 01 Dec. The November show will be very small with the December one being a bit bigger.

I.T. Carlow Boxing Club


Showdown in the Barrow 2

Date: 06 December, 2016

Venue: Barrow Centre, I.T. Carlow

After a very successful show last year, I.T. Carlow Boxing Club will host Showdown in the Barrow 2 at the Barrow Centre I.T. Carlow on 06 Dec, featuring bouts between I.T. Carlow’s best and boxers from other third-level institutions.

Boxing will start at 6.00 pm.

Date: 16 – 18 June 2017

Location: The Great Hall, Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way
Wood Green, London

An IATBA team will be selected from the outstanding third-level boxers of the season. Boxers from all classes, Novice to Advanced, will be considered to compete at the Haringey Box Cup.


Men and Women Boxers between the ages of 18 to 40 will be categorized as Elite Boxers.
Male Boxers between the ages of 16 to 17 will be categorized as Youth Boxers.
The age of the Boxers will be checked based on the date before the 1
st day of competition.

Elite Males
Class A: 21+ bouts. No headguards (3x3min Rounds)
Class B: (Development): 5-20 bouts. No headguards (3x2min Rounds)

All boxers who have previously competed in the Open Elite championships or boxed internationally regardless of number of bouts must enter Class A. Class B boxers have the option to enter the Class A.

Elite Females 
Class A : 16+ bouts (4x2min Rounds)
Class B (Development): 7-15 bouts (3x2min Rounds)
Class C (Development): 2-6 bouts (3x2min Rounds)

Youth Males
Class A: 16+ bouts (3x3min Rounds)
Class B (Development): 2-15 bouts (3x2min Rounds)
