FISU have informed all member national associations that the FISU World University Boxing Championships scheduled for 10 -15 October 2020 have been cancelled due to the on–going COVID-19 pandemic.

It is expected that the next world level event scheduled for student boxers will be the 2022 World University Championships for Combat Sports, to be held in the city of Ekaterinburg, Russian Federation. The sports included are Boxing, Karate, Muaythai, Sambo, Wrestling and Wushu.
