2025 IATBA Championships – Information & Entry Details

The Irish Athletic Third-Level Boxing Association (IATBA) Championships 2025 will take place at the National Boxing Stadium Complex, Dublin 8 on the following dates:

• Day 1: 8 March 2025
• Day 2: 9 March 2025
• Day 3: 14 March 2025
• Day 4: 15 March 2025

Entries & Registration

• Entries are open until 23:59 on 25 February 2025.
• Each college entering boxers must pay an annual college membership fee of €100.
• The competitor fee is €35 per boxer.
• Entries must be submitted via the Google form. Boxers must indicate whether their College/University will cover the cost or if they will make a personal payment.
• If a college team wishes to pay all boxer entry fees and the college membership fee via bank transfer, submit a request by email to iatba.2010@gmail.com.
• The championships draw will be conducted on 02 March 2025, with the full draw available at www.iatba.ie.

Elite (19-40 years)

Male Categories:

• Junior Novice (0–3 bouts): 51-54 Kg, 57 Kg, 60 Kg, 63 Kg, 66 Kg, 69 Kg, 72 Kg, 75 Kg, 78 Kg, 81 Kg, 86 Kg, 91 Kg, 91+ Kg
• Senior Novice (4–10 bouts): 51-54 Kg, 57 Kg, 60 Kg, 64 Kg, 67 Kg, 71 Kg, 75 Kg, 81 Kg, 86 Kg, 91 Kg, 91+ Kg
• Intermediate (11–25 bouts): 46-48 Kg, 51 Kg, 54 Kg, 57 Kg, 60 Kg, 63.5 Kg, 67 Kg, 71 Kg, 75 Kg, 80 Kg, 86 Kg, 92 Kg, 92+ Kg

Key Regulations & Equipment Requirements

• Boxers must be registered IABA members and hold a valid student ID.
• Headguards are required for Novice Males, Youths, Intermediates, and all Female competitors.
• Non-Pregnancy Declaration Forms must be signed by female athletes.
• Gum Shields: Red, orange, or pink gum shields are not allowed.
• Beard Length: Must not exceed 10 cm.
• Attire: Boxers must have one red and one blue vest (college team vests are permitted).
• Coaches: Must wear tracksuits and trainers. No caps/hats allowed.
• Sportsmanship: Respect officials and accept decisions in a sporting manner.
